Pimpama Early Learning boasts incredible playscape and outdoor areas that have been designed using a combination of natural and manmade materials. The features include; a water park, bike tracks, sand pits, climbing forts, a barnyard and much, much more. A wildlife and reptile enclosure provides the children with stimulating experiences with a variety of the elements of nature, whilst they learn about environmental sustainability.
Located in a great area with strong connections to the community. This is an opportunity for your child to develop within spaces in which they can feel safe and continue on their learning journey.
We believe that the value of play is of utmost importance to children as it is their way of learning about their world. While children play they are able to experiement with new ideas, test theories and their understanding of concepts, express their creative ability, release their emotions and share their feelings. While engaging in play children are developing across all domains and creating the building blocks for their future.
We partner with you to provide a safe, quality, family-centred learning environment where every child is respected and nurtured.
Educators plan a diverse range of experiences to create opportunities for your child in both structured and spontaneous play.
Our programs aim to enrich your child’s early learning experience by developing their emotional, social and cognitive intelligence.
We provide a supportive active learning environment and responsive holistic programs which enable children to follow their interests, feel success, thrive and have fun.
Our children develop their sense of identity by exploring different aspects of it (physical, social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive), through their play and their relationships.
The Kindergarten curriculum offers intentional learning times where the focus is on literacy and numeracy, socialisation, self-regulation and independence.
What led you to a career in the childcare industry?
I studied my cert III in high school. After graduating I gained employment at my placement centre and was here for 4 years. During this time I gain my Diploma of Children services. I relocated to a remote town in the NT where I was promoted to 2IC. When I relocated back to the Gold Coast I became Educational Leader at Pimpama, before becoming Service Manager.
What are your favourite memories within the workspace?
When years later the child recognise and remember you from the close bond you shared.
Who Inspires you and why?
Nathan Wallis – Neuroscience & The Developing Brain- His research into the developing brain and how that would have affect on what we do as Educators.
What are you passionate about?
The first five years of a childs’ life is busy and most crucial. I believe it is the foundation for their future with an opportunity for learning in every occasion. The children are continually learning in all developmental areas. I believe all interactions with the children should be safe, positive, fun and nurturing. Educators should create a positive disposition for all childrens’ learning through positive reinforcements and inviting activities. I believe if this happens, the children can grow into their next developmental stage with confidence and strive for greatness.
What type of leadership style do you have?
As a Director I strive to keep my knowledge of the industry up to date with further training and study. I am committed to providing the team of Educators with this knowledge and understanding. Guiding them in their curriculum and practices in order to provide the highest quality care for the children and their families. I believe in collaborating with professional and working as a team in order to operate a quality service.
