Lara Kinder Visit the Post Office
This is how we make learning authentic at Lara. Recently, our Kinder children have been engaging in post office dramatic play for a few weeks in the classroom, so we came up with the idea to post their beautiful artwork home to make learning more meaningful.
We learned to put our address on an envelope, put a stamp in the right place and post our letters in the big red mail box. We couldn’t wait to receive our mail at home.

Taking the children out in the community creates great learning experiences for them to practise their manners and increase confidence in interacting with our community neighbours and to further build up a sense of belonging. What a great opportunity to apply our knowledge to a real world experience.
