Fluffy Bunnies | New Additions to Story House Miranda

Children feeding a bunny at Story House Miranda

Story House Miranda is excited to announce three new members of our growing animal family. In May we acquired the cutest little dwarf rabbits, who are rapidly growing and about 3 months old!

The Kangaroo children have already named one of the rabbits, ‘Brownie’.  “He looks like a brownie” said the children, “Can we call him brownie?”

Our other 2 rabbits were named by our families at Miranda, through a poll on a Facebook and voting at the service. Their names are Marshmallow and Peanut.

The children have been assisting with the general care and maintenance of the rabbits as they help to clean their hutch daily, feed the rabbits and learn to interact with them with gentle care and respect.

Through these interactions, the children are learning the responsibilities required when looking after animals and are starting to develop an understanding of the reciprocal relationships between humans and animals.
