IT'S PLAYTIME, LITTLE ONE !
Looking for ideas and activities to play with your baby while at home?
Much of your baby’s learning in their first year will happen naturally as you talk, read, make faces, and interact with them.
These fun and easy activities help stimulate your infant’s development — and bring on some adorable smiles and giggles.
BABIES AND PULL ALONG TOYS
You can turn just about toy into a pull-along toy. Simply attach a piece of string or a shoelace to your baby’s toy truck or the arm of their stuffed animal, and encourage your little one to give it a tug.
They’ll be delighted to see the effect of pulling his toy on a string! As they begins to crawl, put the string just out of their reach so that they have to move to grab it and reel-in their toys.
Extension Activities
- Toss the toy out and help your baby to pull it back.
- Make several yarn toys so your baby can choose which to pull.
- Sing a song as you swing the toy back and forth toward or above your baby, just close enough that it can be reached.
- When your baby can crawl, pull the toy slowly so it can be followed.
- Use 2 objects and pull them in different directions so your baby can choose which one to follow.
