Story House Maitland values the close connections we have created with families and the community, recognising the importance of working together to care for our children. This is particularly important during these uncertain and ever-changing times. We understand the difficulties currently faced by our families and are working hard to offer support by being available to talk and providing regular updates as well as providing a range of other wonderful initiatives designed to promote connection.
Our lovely educators have created a variety of take home activity packs to keep our children entertained during lockdown. These activity packs are available to all of our families and contain a mix of playdough, threading, painting, collage and many more creative activities to do. We have also created transition to school activity packs for those children who will be heading to Kindergarten next year.
These initiatives have all been very well received however, our most popular initiative so far has been Lockie the Lockdown Koala. Lockie has been spending time with our special Story House friends and joining in their lockdown adventures at home. Upon his return, he has lots of exciting stories and pictures to share about his time spent with our families.
