Story House Early Learning has a leadership team consisting of leading early childhood professionals with many years of combined experience in the sector and other industries.
During the last 25 years Paul has held senior management positions within a variety of blue chip organisations including roles as Chief Financial Officer, Commercial operations manager and Project Director. His leadership experience includes a diverse range of industries including property development, retirement living and childcare with companies including Lend Lease, Devine Limited, Aveo Limited, Affinity Education Group and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
During his 7 years working for Lend Lease he held a variety of roles including Commercial Operations Manager and Project Director for Springfield Lakes in SE Queensland. Prior to this Paul worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers for 9 years in Brisbane, Hong Kong and London.
Other Leadership roles include Chief Financial Officer and Company secretary for listed groups Devine Limited, Ariadne Limited and Eureka Group Holdings Limited.
More recently Paul was the Chief Financial Officer at Affinity Education Group Limited while the business of 170 Childcare Centres was both ASX listed and subsequently owned by Private Equity.
Paul is passionate about delivering exceptional educational and development opportunities for the children who join the Story House family. His strong senior executive and managerial roles will combine this passion with the critical skills to successfully grow the Story House business.
Tony’s most recent role was Financial Controller for Affinity Education Group, where he was responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day finance and reporting functions. Tony oversaw the settlement and financial integration of over 40 childcare centres acquired by the group. He had extensive involvement in various capital raisings, the G8 take-over defense and subsequent Anchorage acquisition and business turnaround.
Prior to this, Tony spent five years based in London working for HSBC and its subsidiaries, including three years as Implementation Manager for HSBC Holdings plc, where he was responsible for the roll out of centralised finance systems to intermediary holdings entities across the group. He oversaw the migration of the accounting and control of several Dutch holding entities to the London head office, following closure of the Amsterdam office.
With over 15 years of post-qualified experience, Tony demonstrates strong leadership, extensive implementation and technical skills. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and is a Certified Practicing Accountant.
Kellie Perren brings to the company a vast amount of current early childhood experience.
Kellie has worked previously in a diverse range of roles in one of the largest providers in Queensland. Kellie has written and delivered early childhood training courses, was instrumental in the largest role out of state based kindergartens in Qld, has designed partnership programs to support service delivery, as well as supporting a portfolio of Exceeding rated services.
Her most recent role saw her being instrumental in the negotiation and implementation of two enterprise bargaining agreements. She holds a Bachelor of Education, Diploma of Business as well as training qualifications.
