Today, we’re sharing one of these family favourites straight from Chef Selena’s kitchen, her much-loved Homemade Sausage Rolls recipe. Packed with protein and hidden veg, this one’s a hit at lunchtime and perfect for the whole family to recreate at home.
Chef Selena’s Homemade Sausage Rolls
Ingredients
- Mince (your choice of chicken, beef or turkey)
- Rye wraps (or wholemeal flatbread)
- Onion
- Capsicum
- Garlic
- Spinach
- Egg
- Fresh mixed herbs
- Salt and pepper
Method
- In a bowl, add Mince, Onion, Capsicum, Garlic, Spinach, Egg, Fresh mixed herbs, Salt and pepper and mix together.
- Next cut up the rye flat bread into even quarters
- Using the mince mixture add to the end of one of the quarters and roll into sausage roll shape.
- Do this until there is no mince mixture left then seal the edges with egg wash.
- Place in the oven on try and cook on 150 degrees for 20-30 mins until mince in brown and cooked through. Make sure to flip sausage rolls halfway through cooking process.
