Shweta, Our Service Manager

Shweta is the Centre Manager at Story House Early Learning Dandenong North, bringing over a decade of experience in the early childhood sector. Beginning her journey in 2012 as a trainee, Shweta has progressed through roles including Educator, Lead Educator, Educational Leader, Assistant Director, and now Centre Manager. Her qualifications and hands-on experience have shaped her into a confident, empathetic, and effective leader.

Shweta is passionate about creating a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children, families, and educators can thrive. She believes in the power of play, exploration, and meaningful relationships to support each child’s learning journey and overall development.

As a leader, Shweta adopts a collaborative, strengths-based approach—prioritizing trust, professional growth, and a shared vision. She is committed to empowering educators and fostering strong connections with families.

Outside of work, Shweta enjoys spending time with her loved ones, exploring nature, and relaxing with a good movie and her two beloved pets.

Just like any quality restaurant kitchen, ours is fully equipped and run to the highest standards with our chef holding up-to-date food safety certifications to ensure every meal is prepared with care and compliance. All meals are thoughtfully planned to align with Australian nutrition guidelines, ensuring every bite supports healthy growth and development. Our skilled chef Amanda leads interactive cooking classes tailored to each age group, encouraging children to discover new flavours and learn new skills. Children enjoy a variety of foods while gaining confidence in the kitchen. Popular dishes like Butter Chicken with Coconut Rice, Sour Cream Pastry Chunky Beef Pie and Singapore Noodles are amongst the children’s favourites, making each class a delicious adventure! As part of our commitment to fostering healthy habits and a love for fresh food, all Story House services have introduced the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program (SAKGP). This hands-on initiative connects children with growing, harvesting, preparing and sharing fresh, seasonal food. By getting involved in every step of the process, from garden to plate, children learn valuable life skills, develop respect for the environment, and build a deeper appreciation for nutritious food in a fun, practical way.

Kanila holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and has been working in the early learning sector for over four years. She is passionate about building strong, meaningful relationships with both children and families. Kanila particularly enjoys working in the babies room, where she supports children as they grow from infants to confident learners, celebrating every milestone along the way. She finds great pride in playing a key role in their early development. Outside of work, Kanila loves spending time with her four dogs, going on getaways with her family, and listening to music. She is also dedicated to caring for and rescuing animals whenever she can.

Ka yiu (Karen)

Graduate diploma in early childhood
Karen holds a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood and has been in the industry for five years. She finds joy in learning alongside children and watching them shine throughout the day. Karen is known for her nurturing and joyful presence, creating an engaging and encouraging environment for all children in her care. When she’s not in the classroom, Karen enjoys singing and spending her time on music-related activities.

No Bond or Enrolment Fee – Just Two Weeks' Fees in Advance

Story House Early Learning does not require families to pay a bond or enrolment fee when enrolling your child, however there is a requirement for childcare fees to remain two weeks in advance at all times.

Our service offers a curriculum inspired by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), tailored to each age group. Programs include nature-based experiences, art activities, STEAM and a school readiness curriculum.

Families consistently praise our service for our nurturing environment, dedicated staff, and high quality care.

Story House Early Learning’s daily fee includes meals, nappies, wipes, sunscreen, learning programs, extracurricular activities, digital updates, and supportive care essentials. Everything is designed to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for your child’s growth.

Story House Early Learning prioritises children’s well-being ensuring each child’s comfort and safety during rest times. Educators are trained to implement safe sleep practices, adhering to guidelines from Red Nose Australia and the National Quality Standards.
