Koala Childcare and Early Learning Centre Warrnambool - East Campus

Koala Childcare is Warrnambool’s largest childcare service. Being right in the heart of town and open 6:30 am – 6:30 pm makes us extremely attractive to those that work early mornings or later in the afternoon. We offer care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, in smaller groups spread across the eleven rooms within our service. Meals are provided as part of our service, (breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a ‘late snack’) which means no lunch boxes to pack. Nappies and wipes are also provided. We use an online program that updates families on their child’s routines throughout the day, offers families the chance to communicate with educators, and allows them to access the programs and learning documentation at a time that is convenient to them.

We have been using Koala childcare for almost 4 years and never had any issues. Our daughter loves the activities in the rooms and the way they are changed regularly. The staff are all friendly and caring towards both the children and their families.

Since day one Gill, Rachel and the team have been amazing! The transition for our 2 year old from a Melbourne centre to ‘Koala’ Warrnambool has been seamless. A special thanks to Kelsey and Mel too. Very good playground, child development activities and facilities. Highly recommend.

Can’t say enough about the educators at Koala. They are all so friendly, work really hard with the kids and their development, and as a result my daughter loves her time at Koala. The facility itself is great- immaculately kept, and a great outdoor play space. I would highly recommend Koala to any prospective parents.

Gill’s adventures in Early Childhood Education began in 1987 when she completed her Diploma, or as it was known back then, her “Certificate of Applied Social Science”. After a brief stint working with vulnerable families in residential care, and then working as a nanny for the “rich and famous”, she came to the realisation that Long Day Care was what she loved to do and where she belonged. At the age of 24, Gill opened a Centre in East St Kilda which she operated for the next 17 years. Upon selling this, she joined the “Koala family” managing a number of their services until she made the “big move” to Warrnambool 5 and a half years ago. Recently, they had the opportunity of becoming a part of the Story House Early Learning journey!
