Rachel is Diploma qualified and has dedicated more than 23 years to working with children. Her career began as a private nanny before moving into Family Day Care, where she spent 15 years nurturing and supporting children in a home-based environment. In 2015, she joined Story House Early Learning Warrnambool, where she continues to lead with passion and dedication.
Rachel loves being part of the many stories that unfold each day, those of the children, their families, and her team. She finds joy in seeing the progress, the impact, and the smiles that come from creating warm, engaging, and fun environments where children and educators alike can thrive. Building strong relationships is central to her philosophy, and she leads with collaboration, support, and encouragement. Rachel firmly believes that children learn best when they feel safe, valued, and heard, and she is committed to recognising and celebrating each child’s individual strengths, needs, and achievements.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, and indulging in musical theatre. She loves living close to the beach and couldn’t imagine a home without pets. Whether it’s heading out for breakfast, relaxing with a good book, or choosing cheese over chocolate any day, Rachel embraces the simple pleasures that bring her joy.

Through music, movement, and drama, children retell stories, collaborate, and express themselves. These experiences build strong language, literacy, and creative skills both in the classroom and the wider community.

From storybooks and activity ideas to creative crafts and conversation prompts, each item is tailored to extend the early learning experience, making education a shared and enjoyable journey for both children and their families.
At Story House Early Learning, we believe strong communication with families is key to creating a nurturing and connected learning environment. We use the Storypark app as our primary communication tool, providing families with real-time updates on their child’s day, learning journey, and development. Storypark also allows us to collaborate closely with families, supporting each child’s growth through shared insights and goals. This seamless, secure, and interactive platform helps build meaningful partnerships between our educators and families every step of the way.
