What led you to a career in the childcare industry?
Coming from a large family I was surrounded by children. Babysitting my entire high school to families in my local community working with children was for me the next step. I have now worked within the industry for over 20 years. My passion has always been and still is in supporting services in delivering quality practice and quality environments for little people…..

What are your favourite memories within the workspace?
Absolutely by far the Awards evening after the conference where I witnessed my QLD team achieve success!!

Who Inspires you and why?
I am inspired daily by my own two children who both had such different but wonderful early childhood care experiences which has really shaped them as they have grown.

What are you passionate about?
Loving what you do!!!

What type of leadership style do you have?
I believe my leadership style could be considered somewhat charismatic!!! I lead with my heart and hope to inspire the people around me and be inspired by my passion and energy in wanting to deliver best practice and quality services. I am firm but fair and will work long and hard for the people in my team.

What makes your service such an amazing service?
The people without a doubt!!! I feel very lucky to work with my colleagues who like me want our services and the people within them to be successful both personally and professionally.

What are your goals for the service over the next 12 months?
I want to see the team really develop their individual skillets by opening themselves to diverse, quality professional development.
