What led you to a career in the childcare industry?
I have always had a love for children and supporting them to learn and become the best they can be. After trying my hand at teaching in schools early on, I discovered my true passion was early childhood and I’ve been working in this sector ever since.
What are your favourite memories within the workspace?
We had our Kindy Graduation at the end of last year and we had children that had been with us since the Nursery when we first opened 4 years ago. It was an honor to see how they had grown and become the amazing little humans they are now. Talking to parents about how we had changed their lives and how grateful they were was so heartwarming and special.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about ensuring children have equal opportunity to learn, grow, explore & develop in a safe, loving & fun environment. Its important to me that we support each other across not only our sector but across the community to ensure we can be the best we can be for our future generations to grow.
What type of leadership style do you have?
I am supportive of personal growth and challenge them to think, create & grow as educators. I encourage a culture of mutual respect and compassion whilst also keeping each other accountable and ensuring all requirements are met.
What makes your service such an amazing service?
We are family. We see each other sometimes more than we see our own families and its important that we know each other, that we support each other and most importantly we have fun!
What are your goals for the service over the next 12 months?
To continue to grow and be leaders within the community for high quality Early Education.
