What led you to a career in the childcare industry?
I began tutoring primary school age children when I was completing my VCE studies, shortly after that I was working towards my certificate to become a teacher aid and volunteering in a prep classroom. Once I completed my cert 3, I was offered an amazing opportunity overseas to be a live-in nanny for a family with a 1 year old. I really enjoyed getting to know this age group which lead me to studying my Diploma. When I returned, I begun working full time in an early childhood setting which lead to furthering my studies and ongoing growth in my career. I feel so lucky to say that I love my job and am thankful I get to spend my days surrounded by an amazing group of humans both little and big.
What are your favourite memories within the workspace?
My favorite memories are often spent in the rooms with our amazing educators and children, participating in experiences, helping staff with ideas and play spaces for their curriculum, and maintaining those relationships with each child. A special mention to the artwork master pieces that are made for me and displayed on my wall, these colorful moments really highlight my workspace.
Who inspires you and why?
My whole family, I come from a big diverse family and absolutely love that we are all very different and unique. Each day we learn something new from and/or about one another. Having 4 younger sisters with large age gaps has inspired me to widen my knowledge and skill set in an early childhood environment.
What are you passionate about?
My passion is to ensure all staff I work alongside are mentored and nurtured to become the most successful professionals within the industry.
What type of leadership style do you have?
I believe that if you nurture your staff with knowledge and positivity, they will then nurture the children to become emotionally well rounded and highly confident little learners. I work hard to ensure Kids House Lynbrook is a home away from home for all who enter our door’s.
What makes your service such an amazing service?

This offers great opportunities for educators to engage in small group and large group interactions with children while connecting to their environments. We also have flexible routines that gives children the opportunity for indoor or outdoor play.
What are your goals for the service over the next 12 months?
At Kids House Early Learning Lynbrook we aim to form further connections with our community and encourage the implementation of community involvement into all of our programs.
