What led you to a career in the childcare industry?
I was fortunate enough to have a memorable experience throughout my early Childhood based on my teachers to which I remember to this day. i wanted to ensure children had those same memories to grow up with.

What are your favourite memories within the workspace?
Being a part of a new centre and seeing it’s growth each week. When children are starting in our centre for the first time we experience their journey with them.

What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about creating a safe and nurturing environment to support our team of caring educators as they inspire children through their learning journey.

What type of leadership style do you have?
The more people you have in your circle the more you can achieve. I want to give my team as much opportunity as possible to have growth within themselves and in their career.

What makes your service such an amazing service?
At Kids House Early Learning Cheltenham, children are given endless opportunities to grow, learn and become confident individuals. They can take their passion for exploring to another level with our large outdoor spaces, and they’ll feel right at home in our bright and comfortable indoor spaces.

What are your goals for the service over the next 12 months?
Our goals for the 12 months is to get in connect with the Bayside community and allow Kids House Cheltenham to support our network that surrounds us.

The Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Assistant Educator. We are looking for Educators who are not only able to provide engaging programs for the children, but they have the drive to make this the best service in the community, while also being caring, empathetic, passionate and respectful.   • Facilitate the learning experiences for your allocated group of children
  • Be part of a collaborative teaching environment
  • Maintain effective communication with the parents throughout the service
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs

  • Maintain positive working relationships with all team members

Who we are looking for:

  • Hold a Cert 3 or Diploma in Children’s Services
  • A strong understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Dedication to developing the future of children
  • The enthusiasm to be proactive in implementing curriculum
  • A friendly and energetic demeanour
  • Experience using system such as Qikkids an advantage
