What led you to a career in the childcare industry?
Childcare education runs within my family and after being surrounded and hearing all their stories of how rewarding the industry is, i followed in their footsteps

What are your favourite memories within the workspace?
The smooth and well received transition to Story House management. The collaboration of educators assisting families and educators through the process was comforting to see.

What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about ensure the service is providing nurturing and engaging childcare to all families through our trained and passionate educators.

What type of leadership style do you have?
Coaching/Role modeling. I believe the best way to teach is to lead by example.

What makes your service such an amazing service?
Our beautiful spacious outdoor areas allow educators to The diversity of staff within the service opens each and every staff members eyes to our diverse and multicultural

What are your goals for the service over the next 12 months?
Assist educators to develop our beautiful learning programs through critical reflection.

The Role:

Due to the growth of our service, we are currently looking for a dedicated and motivated Assistant Educator to join our team at Alexandria based within the Pre Kindy (3-4 year old) room.  We are looking for Educators who are not only able to provide engaging programs for the children, but they have the drive to make this the best service in the community, while also being caring, empathetic, passionate and respectful. This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic team with lots of support at hand.


  • Facilitate the learning experiences for your allocated group of children
  • Be part of a collaborative teaching environment
  • Maintain effective communication with the parents throughout the service
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs
  • Create a friendly, secure and stimulating interactive learning environment
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all team members
  • Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times

Who we’re looking for:

  • Hold a Cert 3 or Diploma within Early Childhood Education
  • Current Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificates
  • A strong understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Dedication to developing the future of children
  • The enthusiasm to be proactive in implementing curriculum
  • A friendly and energetic demeanour
  • Have amazing customer service skills where you see parents as partners in children’s learning journey
