MEET OUR SERVICE MANAGER
Hello, my name is Alana Tily and I have started as your Service Manger here at Clyde North Kids House. I am very excited to travel along with your child through this magical learning journey.
I have been working with children from infant all the way through to Grade 6 throughout the last 8 years.
As a new member of the Kids House (Story House) team I am delighted in discovering this beautiful community with your children. I love having fun which is why I have made working with children my career choice. I look forward to supporting my team with a curriculum filled with amazing opportunities for your child to explore, learn and grow.
A little more about me…. I live with my partner Bradley and our ragdoll cross cat ‘Sooki’. I enjoy taking bush walks through local parks and community gardens. I am an Auntie to four nieces and two nephews and love playing dress ups, baking and taking trips to the parks and pools. I love to swim and try and get to the pool a few times a week.
In my spare time I love to spend the days at my parents’ home in Drouin. My Father has grown a delicious edible garden, incorporating upcycled materials in his raised garden beds. He suffers from an acquired brain injury and inspires me each day that miracles can happen. I love to cook and will often whip up a scrumptious meal using all the fabulous produce from my Father’s garden. It is a goal that with your children’s help WE can create the same here at the service for ALL our community to enjoy!
TAILORED LEARNING AND CURRICULUM FOR EACH AGE GROUP
We believe that the value of play is of utmost importance to children as it is their way of learning about their world. While children play they are able to experiement with new ideas, test theories and their understanding of concepts, express their creative ability, release their emotions and share their feelings. While engaging in play children are developing across all domains and creating the building blocks for their future.
We partner with you to provide a safe, quality, family-centred learning environment where every child is respected and nurtured. We continually develop our skills and explore new ways to enrich your child’s early learning experience.
Indoor and outdoor play based experiences are an integral part of our program. Educators plan a diverse range of experiences to create opportunities for your child in both structured and spontaneous play.
Our programs are inspired by the wisdom and teachings of early childhood theorists and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and aim to develop children’s emotional, social and cognitive intelligence.
The Kindergarten curriculum continues to emphasise play based learning, however offers additional intentional learning times where the focus is on literacy and numeracy, socialisation, self-regulation and independence.
